IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO MAKE AN EXHIBITION OF YOURSELF IN MANCHESTER  

The CIBSE Lifts Group is embarking on a new adventure for its Annual Seminar in collaboration with the Elevation Magazine and ANSA Elevator. 

This year the Annual Seminar will be held in Manchester on Tuesday 30 October 2007 in the Renold Building of the University of Manchester, Sackville Street, Manchester, M60 1QD. 

… not only a seminar, but an expanded table top (no fuss) exhibition

… and meeting point. 

Admission to the Annual Seminar running from 13.30 to 17.00, will be by ticket and there will be a registration fee of £50 for attendance.

The following subjects will be covered by the Seminar:

“Communication protocols for remote alarms to BS-DD265 standard” - Dr Gina Barney, Principal, Gina Barney Associates.  

“The relationship between the Machinery Directive and the Lift Directive” - Mike Dodds, Assistant Director (Engineering Directives), Department of Business Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (DBERR). 

“Recruitment, Training and Competency of Engineer Surveys” - Richard Hulmes, Chief Executive, Safety Assessment Federation. 

“Testing lifts to the new BS8486 test document” - Ian Jones, Applications Engineer, Otis Lift Company. 

MAncheSTER MIND 2007 - Name: John Bentley, ANSA Elevators. Specialist topic “Education and training of lift installers and maintainers”. 

The Exhibition will run from 11.00 until 18.00 and the Exhibitors will include: Ansa Elevators, Elevation Magazine, Pfeifer Drako, Cuthbert Physics, SAFed,  ETL, Platform Lift Solutions, Global Lift Equipment, Rimex, Liftstore, A&A Electrical, LiftPro, Windcrest, Kollmorgen, and CIBSE.
